In addition to its nursing home, the Levindale continuum of care includes a 120-bed specialty (sub-acute) hospital, comprehensive geriatric medicine, in-psychiatry treatment, out patient psychiatry programs, and adult day services. Levindale is also located on the campus of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, one of the most prestigious hospitals in the Baltimore area, if the need arises for quick critical-care treatment.
Levindale offers skilled long-term care, a rare full-time physician staff and a specialty hospital for complex chronic medical conditions. Those conditions include ventilator care, comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation and geropsychiatric services. Additionally, Levindale offers respite care, comfort care and pain management and hospice.
Levindale accepts a leadership role in defining and developing elder care. We proudly became the first registered Eden Alternative center in Maryland. This philosophy infuses companionship, empowerment and spontaneity into the daily lives of residents and patients. The Neighborhood Model is the next step in our culture change journey.
